Photos and videos
Which files you can upload, size limits, and how Growdex prepares them for each platform.
What you can upload
- Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 15 MB each.
- Videos: MP4 or MOV, up to 250 MB.
- PDF: for LinkedIn document posts only, up to 100 MB.
A post can carry up to 10 files. Add alt text to images so people using screen readers know what they show.
Growdex prepares files for each platform
You upload one file, and Growdex adjusts it at publishing time so the platform accepts it. Your original is never changed. For example:
- Instagram images are converted to JPEG and padded (never cropped) to a shape Instagram accepts.
- Large Facebook and X photos are made smaller to fit their limits.
- WebP images are converted for platforms that don't accept them.
Each platform's rules
| Platform | Per post |
|---|---|
| 1 to 10 images or videos (a carousel when there's more than one) | |
| Photos, or one video, not both | |
| Up to 9 images, or one video up to 200 MB | |
| X | Up to 4 images, or one GIF, or one video |
| TikTok | One video |
If a post breaks a rule, Growdex tells you in the draft before it goes for review.
