Reels, Stories, threads and other formats
Choose a format for each channel: posts, Reels, Stories, X threads and LinkedIn documents.
In a draft, some channels let you choose a format. The default is a normal post.

What each format needs
- Reel (Facebook): one video. On Instagram, a post with a single video is shared as a Reel.
- Story (Facebook and Instagram): one image or one video. Stories don't need a caption.
- Thread (X): a chain of posts, each up to 280 characters, posted as replies to the first. Separate the posts in X's caption with a line containing only three dashes (---). Media goes on the first post.
- Document (LinkedIn): one PDF, up to 100 MB and 300 pages. LinkedIn shows each page as a slide, so it's a good way to share a carousel. Add a title.
The draft shows a hint under the format switch saying what it needs.
